There's been quite a buzz in the last few weeks about Google Drive changing to Backup & Sync and then eventually all users beginning March 12th, should be transitioned to Drive File Stream. If you aren't aware of it yet, you'll need to read my blog that I talk about what is changing in Google Drive here. Drive File Stream is fantastic in many ways. Here are just some of them: 1. Files now sync faster. If you are on Backup & Sync now you may notice that the files take a little while to sync - depending on your internet connection. This problem won't happen with Drive File Stream. It is super fast and your files are accessible on-demand. 2. Drive File Stream has Team Drives. This new feature is fantastic because you can add people on the Team Drive within Google Drive and everyone in your team gets access to files you put in there. No more remembering giving access to specific people - there's now a folder where you can put all your files and everyone can access it. 3. Your computer's memory won't be used. The fact that it doesn't eat up your computer's memory and it saves everything on the Cloud is a major factor for many especially if you have a ton! You can now use your memory for your other stuff - programs, etc. How awesome, right? But with all these great features - why am I recommending that you wait? Well, Google Drive has an app that allows me to access files on my iPhone, iPad and other mobile device. Unfortunately, if you are adding files to the Team Drives, you won't be able to see it on your mobile devices, so yeah. It's a little bummer for now but I will let you know as soon as that function is available. If you want to go on and dig deeper, we are so excited to let you know that we have an Agent Membership Site on topics JUST like this to help you grow and keep your business. Check it out here.
