The urge to travel and experience the world is ever increasing! There are numerous studies which say that traveling allows the mind to expand and provides rejuvenation to the senses. Seeing a new destination may it be the beach, a famous landmark or experiencing the bountiful culture each country or destination has to offer adds up to the overall experience.
With communication becoming stronger with different platforms to use, our smartphones/tablets are indispensable tools. We use them for booking flights, taking photos and ultimately to connect back to home to share your memorable voyage. So, with this in mind, I’ve made a comparison of the Top 3 Canadian carriers who can offer you the best deals while you’re in a home away from home.
ROGERS – Darci’s current favourite!
We switched because of their Roam Like Home. Unlike other Carriers they actually mean don’t worry when you travel, just use your device like you are at home. If you go to the US the MOST it will cost you $50.00. It is $5 bucks a day to a max of $50.00. Crazy good right? That includes voice, text and data. Absolutely LOVE IT! You don’t have to worry about every trip anywhere having to call the carrier to buy one of their crappy travel plans! By far the best.
Bell Mobility boasts of their Roam Better option where you can get unlimited voice and text with free 100MB of data in over 100 international destinations! They offer it for $5/day when you go to the US and not bad at all at $10/day in other countries. The difference is the data side. They only give you 100 MB where Rogers is the same plan you have at home!
TELUS has Easy Roam which is similar to Rogers but not as good. $7.00 a day to the US to a max of $100. A whole $50 bucks more than Rogers. At the time of writing this they don’t seem to offer a continual plan as Rogers does in other countries. You still have to call and get an add-on plan. What a pain!
Sooooo in my books ROGERS is the absolute clear winner! Might be time for you to switch! Bon Voyage!
