Do you want to gain more business, get people to visit your website, provide information to clients about your business and industry? Social Media can help with that if you are posting good content and using the right platforms for your business.
Who is your target audience?
Different social media platforms appeal to different people. Facebook and LinkedIn users tend to be an older crowd, while Instagram appeals to younger adults. Twitter is more popular with men and Pinterest with women. Confusing stuff right? Determining who you want to reach out to will help figure out which may be the best platforms for you to use.
What are you using now?
Do you have accounts set up with many different social media platforms but aren’t using them? I find quite often that people have Twitter accounts set up but never tweet! What’s the point of having the account – shut it down! Focus on the Social Media Platforms that you are using and that you like to use. And use it! Post content to from your site, reply to comments, like other people posts, engage with your audience. so that you can build relationships with people and for pete's sake, don't just post listings!
